Blue Bell announced new Oatmeal Cream Pie flavour

On Thursday (14 July), Texan ice cream brand Blue Bell unveiled its latest flavour of Oatmeal Cream Pie on Instagram

The new ice cream comes just before national ice cream day, which falls over the weekend on Sunday (17 July).

In the post, the new ice cream was described as capturing the classic oatmeal cream pie taste through an oatmeal-flavoured ice cream which includes oatmeal cookies and vanilla icing mixed throughout.

Ahead of the flavour’s reveal, the band had hinted at what the new ice cream taste was on Instagram as they shared a teaser video which included an up-close shot of some oatmeal cream pies stacked together.

Its not the brand’s only summer release

Blue Bell’s new Oatmeal Cream Pie flavour comes just weeks after the brand announced its Strawberry Lemonade ice cream.

At the end of last month, Blue Bell launched its Strawberry Lemonade ice cream, which combines ice strawberry ice cream and a lemon-flavoured sherbet.

This year has also seen a few other new ice creams make their way to the brand’s list of flavours. Back in April, the brand launched both the Chocolate Peanut Butter Overload as well as the Peachy Peach

In a press release on the launch of the Oatmeal Cream Pie flavour, vice president of sales and marketing for Blue Bell, Jimmy Lawhorn, discussed how over the years certain flavours have become “fan-favorites”, adding that “the delicious combinations are endless!”

On the Blue Bell website, it explains that people across the US can enjoy its products for a price of $142. For the total, customers can either order four half-gallon tubs of their fave flavour or four 12-pack cups.

The Oatmeal Cream Pie flavour is currently listed as part of the half-gallon tubs available to ship, meaning customers could opt to buy four of the tubs or to order it along with other flavours.
