Reese’s Pieces Cookie Dough Blizzard returning to Dairy Queen to mark end of summer
A much-loved Blizzard is returning to Dairy Queen next month to celebrate the end of the summer – Reese’s Pieces Cookie Dough!
The dessert launched in 2021 and then returned in 2022, but it hasn’t been seen on menus since then. Now, it’s finally coming back for a limited time.

Reese’s Pieces Cookie Dough Blizzard
The Reese’s Pieces Cookie Dough Blizzard is launching nationwide as August 2024’s Blizzard of the Month. It features Reese’s Pieces, chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut butter topping, andDairy Queen’sworld-famous soft-serve blended together to form the perfectBlizzard treat.
“With Reese’s Pieces, the richness of chocolate and the sweet nuttiness of peanut butter come together to create an irresistible flavor friendship,” the ice cream chain says.
It officially launches at restaurants on Thursday, August 1 and will be available for the entire month, although some locations may already be carrying it early.
Dairy Queen has launched loads of different Reese’s Blizzards over the years, but the addition of cookie dough makes this one a firm favorite.
It will follow July’s Blizzard of the Month, Salted Caramel Truffle Blizzard, which went down a treat. It features salted caramel truffles, sweet and salty toffee pieces, rich chocolate chunks and decadent cocoa fudge.
More Blizzards coming to Dairy Queen
As per the Dairy Queen website, the next Blizzards of the Month are:

Caramel Java Chip is the only new option on the lineup, due to feature coffee, choco-espresso crunch pieces, and caramel blended into vanilla soft-serve ice cream.
OREO Fudge Brownie will consist of cookie pieces, brownies, and cocoa fudge blended into Dairy Queen’s iconic vanilla soft-serve.
According to Instagram foodie Snackolator, a Royal New York Cheesecake Blizzard is also due to arrive sometime this fall. It features cheesecake pieces and graham cracker blended with vanilla soft serve then filled with a strawberry topping center.
Speaking of ice cream, a delicious new Mountain Dew Gelato is coming to another food chain later this summer.
