Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato is coming to Taco Bell later this summer
Taco Bell is continuing its Mountain Dew collaboration with a brand new Baja Blast Gelato which is launching really soon.
The ice cream was tested at one store in California last year and will soon be available nationwide after it proved so successful.
Taco Bell’s Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato
The bright blue gelato is Baja Blast Tropical Lime flavor, which the fast food chain also offers as a freeze or fountain drink. It’s the first-ever gelato to hit a Taco Bell menu and tastes exactly like the Mountain Dew flavor everyone knows and loves.
“Mountain Dew Baja Blast is a revered part of Taco Bells history, and with almost twenty years of vibrant ocean teal innovations, this sweet test transports fans to an oasis and harkens to summers past, present, and future,” Taco Bell said in a press release.
It comes in a 3.6 oz container and is served with a small purple spoon. During the test, it retailed at $2.99, plus tax and sold out in just three days as everyone loved it so much.

It’s launching nationwide this summer
Following its popularity at the test restaurant in Irvine, California, Taco Bell announced it was coming late in the summer at their Live Ms Event in February.
“Taco Bell fans asked, and now the brand is delivering! First tested in 2023, the delectable gelato will be making its nationwide debut,” they said.
“The creamy and delicious treat is infused with the iconic Baja Blast Tropical Lime flavor and is a perfect complementary addition to any cheesy, spicy, saucy order on the Taco Bell menu.”
It’s already July, so that means we don’t have long to wait for the new ice cream. Foodie Snackolator predicts it will arrive on menus in August.
“Cannot wait to try it!!!! Ahhhhhhh,” one person commented on Instagram while another added: “Yes. This sounds so good.”
Taco Bell is due to be shaking up their savory menu again too with new Cheesy Street Chalupas and spicy Nacho Fries.
Another Taco Bell Mountain Dew dessert is also in development called the Baja Blast Pie. The bright blue pie was announced at the Live Ms event too and features pastry and whipped cream, but there’s no news on when that will be released yet.
