“I was a volunteer at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue, she told the Guinness Book Of World Records, and one of the employees told me about an elderly couple trying to surrender a puppy because they could not take care of him any longer.

I met with the elderly couple and was introduced to a tiny tan chihuahua. They had named him Peanut Butter. I later changed his name to TobyKeith.”

TobyKeith may be old but hes still got it. Heres a video of him giving Luna  whom Gisela calls Queen Luna  a speedy massage.

How old was the oldest dog ever, and what breed was it?

The oldest dog ever recorded was an Australian cattle dog named Bluey. Bluey lived to be 29 years and five months old, doubling the average longevity of the Australian cattle dog (13.41 years). Below is a purebred Australian cattle dog for illustrative purposes.

Others have claimed to own older dogs. Brian McLaren, of Woolsthorp, Victoria, told The Weekly Times in 2016 that his Kelpie  another Australian cattle dog  died at the age of 30.

And another Australian dog, Chilla, died in 1984 at the reputed age of 32. Her owner was David Gordon, of Broadbeach in Queensland, Australia, who said Chilla mostly ate boiled leftovers such as potato peels, cabbage ends and egg shells, with a soup bone tossed in for flavouring.
