Gamer creates instant caffeine noodles you can eat with one hand while playing

Gaming for a long period can be taxing, especially at night. As coffee can keep you up, a gamer has discovered a better and more efficient alternative.

There are plenty of discoveries in the realm of food and drinks in the recent past, like Trader Joe’s new pretzels – again, inspired by a popular coffee flavor. Let’s see what the caffeine noodle has to offer.

Gamer creates ‘BOOST NOODLE’ with caffeine

Japanese brand Nippon Ham announced the release of its “Taipa” ramen, known as BOOST NOODLE. The instant noodles can be eaten by simply opening the spout pouch.

Each packet of 120 grams of noodles contains 35 mg of caffeine – less than the average caffeine in a cup of coffee. But it’s just enough to “boost your mood” while gaming at night. However, it’s believed not to disturb your sleep too.

The product is specifically designed for gamers. The products come in a spout pouch, so you can eat with one hand while playing with the other. All you need to do is “squeeze, push up, and eat.”

It can be stored at room temperature for up to 90 days and you don’t have to worry about spilling it on your gaming equipment or computer because it stays in one place owing to its design.

“This meets the needs of gamers who want to ‘not get their expensive and important gaming equipment dirty,’ ‘want to eat easily with one hand while playing games,’ and ‘want to eat something closer to a meal rather than a jelly drink or beverage,” the press release notes.

Others can enjoy the product too

Each packet of BOOST NOODLE consists of short-cut noodles, roast pork, and bamboo shoots “intertwined with a jelly-like rich seafood and pork bone soup”, to give you the taste of authentic ramen.

The press release further notes that the product is meant for non-gamers, too. People who are constantly on the phone can enjoy the noodles with just one hand, and so can those busy and commuting looking for a quick meal.

The instant caffeine noodle was the winner of the 2022 Developme”nt Koshien – a contest that encourages gamers and developers to propose new product ideas. It’s deemed “a product for the Japanese e-sports markets”.

People in the U.S. can order the caffeine noodle from the Japanese shopping site SUGOI MART. It’s priced at $8.99 excluding shipping.
