McDonalds has the best fries by all accounts

McDonalds is perhaps the greatest example of If it aint broke, dont fix it. It has dominated the fast food game for decades thanks to the combination of innovative releases and a flourishing secret menu

According to a new report from Eat This, Not That, McDonalds is still on top, at least where french fries are concerned.

As part of their yearly rundown of the best fast food items, the publication ranked Arby’s crinkle fries in last place. Arbys was followed by In-N-Out, WingStop, Sonic, Five Guys, Culver’s, and Shake Shack.

Taco Bells exciting collab with Omar Apollo was not enough to save them from the sixth spot followed by Chick-fil-A.

Shockingly, and perhaps putting to rest the age-old debate, Burger King came in at number 4.

But when Burger King can exhibit some restraint, and stick to classics, it’s pretty hard to quibble with the quality, they penned. Right up there with rival McDonald’s, Burger King’s fries command a devout, lifelong following that is well-earned for their slightly larger-than-shoestring shape, their extra-crispy exterior, and their wonderfully fluffy, always-hot interior.

On Reddit alone, there are threads upon threads dedicated to debating Burger King vs McDonalds.

McDonalds came in at number one

After the disappointing ranking of Burger King at number four was Arby’s curly fries, which the brand described as one of the most legendary fast-food items ever.

After Arbys came Wendy’s, which are said to be a welcome return to the classic french fry. If you want something with the bells and whistles, Wendys might be the best option.

Despite Americans claiming their country has the worst McDonalds, the famed brand ranked in the top spot for their iconic french fries.

Eat This, Not That explained: Let’s be honest: barring any catastrophic upset, this list was never going to end on a higher note than McDonald’s.

There will always be detractors, and there will always be rivals, but there will only ever be one McDonald’sa chain that single-handedly defined what a fast-food fry should look, smell, feel, and taste like.

To the point that, despite technically being a side dish, the fries often steal the spotlight from everything else on the menu, burgers included.

There it is folks, the debate is finally settled. Should Burger King fans wish to continue the brawl, head on over to Reddit.
