Enormous size of McDonald’s fries in Denmark leaves American in ‘sheer bliss’
An American has been left dumbfounded after discovering the size of a portion of Mcdonald’s fries in Denmark and compares it to the United States standard. The TikToker admits she has ‘never seen this size’ before, but wants it to become available in the US.
Fast food chain McDonalds is pretty much a national icon at this stage. The menu may be drastically different to its beginnings, but it’s become a staple for quick lunches and tasty dinners. But the food giant is always trying to create new items, such as the popcorn flavor Coca-Cola that tastes like a movie theater’. However, it was the enormous portion of fries in Denmark that shocked many people after a TikToker compared them to the size of her head.
Enormous size of McDonald’s fries in Denmark shocks American
TikTok creator Audrey Peters was sharing a taste test of the McDonald’s restaurant in Copenhagen, Denmarks capital, when she was left stunned by the size of the French fries.
Audrey explains to the camera that she ordered large McDonalds fries and announced: “I’ve never in my life seen this size fry.”
The TikToker proceeds to hold up the menu item and show that the box of fries is in fact larger than her head!
Most McDonald’s fries are presented in the classic red and yellow box which gets taller length ways depending on the size, while the Danish McDonald’s offers a huge box of fries much wider than standard portions.
Audrey jokes that she is starting a petition to get this size of French fries in the United States: “McDonald’s if you’re watching, where is this size fry in the United States? We need this!”
Mcdonald’s Sharing Fries seem like a winner
The viral video of the humungous McDonald’s food portion has gained more than 300,000 views, along with a comment section filled with envy.
One TikTok comment wondered why it is generalized that American portion sizes are huge when sizes this big exist in Denmark…
Another comment revealed the French fries in the video are in fact not a large portion in Copenhagen, but rather the sharing size.
On the Danish McDonald’s website, the Sharing Fries are shown as containing a whopping 860 calories.
Next to the image of the enormous fries reads: “Sharing is caring. That’s why you can now get our world-famous French fries in a sharing size – still soft on the inside and golden and crispy on the outside.”
