Snapchat’s Multi Snap feature is suddenly ‘gone’ and users are going crazy
Many Snapchat users are reporting that the Multi Snap feature is gone from their app, and it’s leaving people really frustrated.
It suddenly disappeared this week and no one knows what’s going on. The Focus reached out to Snapchat to find out, but hasn’t received a response.
Snapchat’s Multi Snap is ‘gone’
The issue first arose on Wednesday (February 7), when people began taking to social media to report that the feature was missing.
Multi Snap lets users quickly capture multiple photos or videos, review and edit them individually and choose the best ones to send or save.
Usually, you access Multi Snap by going to the camera screen and clicking on the + icon. Then, it’s one of the drop down options.
However, this week the button has completely disappeared from some people’s apps, and Snapchat users are devastated about it.
Users are going crazy
One person wrote on Twitter/X: “SNAP TOOK AWAY MULTI SNAP HOW AM I MEANT TO ANNOY MY FRIENDS NOW.”
“Either I’m bugging or Snapchat got rid of Multi-Snap? I’m gonna cry,” said another.
A third person added: “SNAPCHAT GIVE ME BACK MULTI SNAP!!!!!!!! PLEASE WHY WOULD U TAKE IT AWAY.”
“I can’t believe Multi Snap is gone,” someone else said.
Another asked: “Now why would snap take away Multi-Snap?”
Speculation it’s been removed
Many are speculating the feature has been removed for good, but Snapchat hasn’t responded to our request for confirmation.
A section explaining how to use Multi Snap still appears on the Snapchat website though, hinting it might not be gone forever.
On Twitter/X Snapchat Support is telling people reporting Multi Snap issues to send them a DM so they can “try to help”.
Snapchat Support has not given any indication that the feature has been removed, so it’s not clear what it going on right now.
Make sure you have updated Snapchat to the latest version, so you will be first to get Multi Snap back if it returns.
