Starbucks launching new fruity Iced Energy Drink in a ready-to-drink can
Starbucks are launching their own fruity energy drink in a can, which will be available in stores across the US.
It will join the chain’s series of ready-to-drink coffee beverages, including the Triple Shot Espresso and Frappuccino.

Starbucks launching fruity Iced Energy Drink
The energy drink was announced ahead of the upcoming Nacs Show in October, a global convenience store trade show where exciting new products are unveiled, Instagram foodie Snackolator reports.
It’s a zero-sugar, sparkling energy drink containing 160 mg of caffeine, set to rival brands like Monster, Red Bull and Celsius. Right now, only one flavor has been announced, Tropical Peach, but more are likely to be available.

The canned drinks are based on Starbucks’ Handcrafted Iced Energy Beverages, which the chain launched at its coffeehouses in June.
“These drinks combine sparkling fruit flavors with iced tea for the ultimate jumpstart and are available at stores in the U.S. year-round,” they said in a press release.
There are only two flavors, Melon Burst and Tropical Citrus, but Starbucks is clearly expanding this lineup for the canned version. They will presumably be available at all grocery stores that usually sell Starbucks’ ready-to-drink options.
Ahead of the Nacs Show, it was also announced that Starbucks will be releasing a ‘lite’ version of their bottled Frappuccino with 60% fewer calories.
Starbucks discontinues BAYA energy drinks
I know what you’re thinking. Doesn’t Starbucks already sell fruity energy drinks in a can? Well, they used to. In 2022, the chain launched BAYA, their first-ever ready-to-drink energy drink in three flavors: Raspberry Lime, Mango Guava and Pineapple Passionfruit.
The drink was crafted from caffeine naturally found in coffee fruit, as well as antioxidant vitamin C for immune support anddeveloped through the North American Coffee Partnership (NACP), a joint venture between Starbucks and PepsiCo.
However, the cans disappeared from shelves following speculation that they discontinued the line in America due to low sales. BAYA is still available in other markets, including India, where it launched in February 2024.
Following the success of the Iced Energy Drinks in coffeehouses, Starbucks is now entering the US canned energy drink market once again. Both drinks seem very similar, containing 160 mg of caffeine and coming in sleek, 12 oz cans.
