The Young And The Restless’ Madison Thompson has swapped Genoa City for Rydell High as she puts on her leather jacket to become a Pink Lady in Grease: Rise Of The Pink Ladies.
Rock ‘n’ Roll has always ruled Rydell High, along with the T-Birds, but when four (or more) girls join as one we see the Rise Of The Pink Ladies.
Let’s take a look at the latest project Madison Thompson has been working on, aside from The Young And The Restless.
Y&R’s Madison Thompson swaps Genoa City for being a Pink Lady
Grease: Rise Of The Pink Ladies is a prequel to the first two Grease films, based on the musical of the same name by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. The series comes from Paramount Television Studios and is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+.
The ten-episode pickup is set four years before the original Grease and will feature new characters. Hence why Madison Thompson is in the role of a character named Susan in the offshoot.
Joining Thompson is Marisa Davila, who is playing a character named Jane, Cheyenne Isabel Wells as Olivia, Ari Notartomaso as Cynthia, and Tricia Fukuhara, who is taking on the role of Nancy.
Also in the cast are Shannel Bailey, Johnathan Nieves, Jason Schmidt, Maxwell Whittington-Cooper, and Jackie Hoffman as Assistant Principal McGee.
After wrapping season 1, Thompson shared an Instagram dump of her outside Susan’s trailer, on set, and with her fellow co-stars. The actress revealed it was “seven months of blood, sweat, tears, dance numbers, jazz hands, and the most incredibly kind and talented people in the world.” The actress then noted her thanks to many people who have helped her along the way, including the incredible crew who have “held this show on your shoulders.”
Who is Madison Thompson?
Madison Thompson was born on August 13, 2000 in Atlanta, Georgia. She is 21 years old but began performing at the age of ten in a variety of musicals including Footloose, The Sound Of Music and Peter Pan.
Madison then decided to take performing more seriously and began screen acting and auditioning for shows. She landed roles as a guest star on NCIS: New Orleans and Henry Danger, along with a recurring role on Kevin (Probably) Saves the World. However, she is now best known as Erin Pierce on seasons 3 and 4 of Netflix’s Ozark.
She plays the 17-year-old daughter of cartel lawyer Helen Pierce, aka Janet McTeer. She joined her mom and moved to the Ozarks to help oversee the Byrdes’ operations. However, soap fans will know Madison Thompson for her four-month run on CBS’s The Young And The Restless as Jordan.
Aside from acting, Thompson is also a freshman at the University of Southern California, pursuing a business degree in business cinematic arts. She is actually on a BCA program, which is a business degree in cinematic arts, a joint degree program between the Marshall Business School and the School of Cinematic Arts. This has allowed her to discover the financial side of the industry.
In the future, she plans to get a major in musical theater as she has already received a musical theatre minor from the Thornton School of Music. Thompson really is a professional at juggling school and showbiz!
