Young And The Restless alum, Alyvia Alyn Lind, who formerly portrayed Faith, is looking all grown up as she attends “the most magical” prom night.

It has only been a year since we last saw Alyvia on canvas but for those of us who watched her on our screens since she was a toddler, it feels like she has sprouted up in that time.

Let’s take a look at the ex-Genoa City resident who looked almost unrecognisable on her prom night, as the child star has blossomed into a beautiful young woman.

Alyvia had a “magical night I’ll never forget” as she donned a stunning emerald off-the-shoulder gown and posed for prom photos with her friends and prom date. She had a catered “before” party which her mom Barbara Lind also attended, and then ventured on to the prom and post-prom parties.

The actress and her friends can be seen in the photos laughing together and dancing. Her prom date was fellow actor and boyfriend, Aiden Arthur, who starred in the film Big Time Adolescence and on CBS’ Pitch. On his Instagram, the couple shared some late-night snaps at the after-prom including one of him and Lind with lipstick kisses on their faces.

Lind first joined the soap in 2011 at the age of four and remained in the role until her departure in April 2021. Lind played the daughter of Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). As she spent practically her whole childhood on the set of Y&R, she has worked up a large fan base who miss her very much.

How did Alyvia leave Y&R?

Alyvia left the series during a crucial time for Faith as her character was a central storyline starting in late 2020. Faith was getting relentlessly bullied by her classmates and it ended up in her getting in a horrifying car accident after she drunk drove.

Fans knew that her sneaking and drinking alcohol was never a good sign, especially as her grandmother Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was an alcoholic.

The accident left her on life support and in need of a new kidney and this is when Reylynn Caster was re-cast as Faith. Immediately after Alyvia left Caster walked on canvas to play Faith in the hospital.

Lind’s involvement in a new project was revealed a month before her final air date on Y&R. So many fans had already predicted she would be leaving to take on the role of Lexy in the series, Chucky, based on the horror films of the same name.
