It’s back, and there are some pleasant surprises.
Created by José Ignacio Valenzuela, the Mexican mystery thriller Who Killed Sara? landed on Netflix in March 2021 and quickly wrapped audiences around its finger, firing out questions and encouraging fans to demand answers.
After much discussion, viewers were thrilled to see it would return and the story was the same after season 2 concluded.
Introduced to the life of a man wrongfully convicted for the murder of his sister, the mystery has further unravelled with season 3 and some can’t help but grow curious about a new arrival and who plays her.
With that in mind, let’s talk about Alma in Who Killed Sara?

Who is Alma in Who Killed Sara?
Alma is a criminal lawyer who is asked to work on Chema’s case.
She is introduced in season 3 episode 2. Audiences are plunged into a flashback that shows Alex offering to help the warden look into his wife’s potential infidelities by using his skills as a hacker.
Fast forward to the present, on the other hand, and he tells the warden to call on Alma’s services. She then comes into the fold for the third instalment.
As for how she ties in with the other characters, it turns out Lorenzo knows Alma because they were friends at the faculty. Although the character doesn’t play a central role in the third season, the reference is notable thanks to her previous work…

Maite Perroni arrives in Who Killed Sara?
If you feel like you vaguely recognise her, it’s perhaps no shock to learn Alma is played by Maite Perroni.
The 39-year-old Mexican actress is also a singer-songwriter who many discovered when she was part of Latin pop group RBD, who went on to earn Grammy nominations. Since then she has appeared in telenovelas such as Triunfo Del Amor and Antes Muerta Que Lichita.
On the other hand, Netflix audiences will know her best from the series Dark Desire, which premiered on the platform in 2020. She tackles the central role of Alma Quintana Solares.
That’s right. The law school professor from that series is back in Who Killed Sara?
