New Harlan Coben drama series Stay Close has just landed on Netflix. Fans are curious to know who Bea is from the series, so let’s meet Rachel Andrews
This isn’t the first Coben novel adapted for the screen. Fans of The Stranger, The Woods, Safe, and The Innocent are familiar with the mystery sagas and can’t wait to stream Stay Close.
You’ll likely recognise Richard Armitage from The Stranger, where he played Adam Price. In the new series, he plays a paparazzo whose girlfriend has gone missing. Let’s unpack another character newbie as fans want to know more about Bea from Stay Close.

Who is Rachel Andrews?
Rachel Andrews is from St Albans in Hertfordshire, England, and appears in the new Netflix series alongside Eddie Izzard and James Nesbitt. She plays the role of Bea.
Andrews is a former Beaumont School pupil and is represented by Leoni Kibbey, founder and director of St Albans Film Festival, talent agent and actress in her own right.
Stay Close is Rachel’s first supporting lead actor role but has led to many more acting jobs that will come out in 2022. The budding actress will appear in Lady Chatterley’s Lover, another film adaptation of the notorious novel by DH Lawrence. In the film, Andrews will work alongside Television Workshop alum Jack O’Connell and The Crown actress Emma Corrin.
Andrews also played a lead in a recent Christmas advert for Shelter, entitled The Drive. During the advert Rachel can be seen as a passenger in a car singing with her on-screen mum. Towards the end, she gives her a Christmas present. The touching advert posits the message no-one should spend Christmas without a home. The advert further highlights challenges homeless people face not only at Christmas but all year.
Bea actress explored
In Stay Close, Bea plays the best friend of Kayleigh Shaw and the eldest daughter of Megan, aka Cush Jumbo, and Dave, played by Daniel Francis.
On the night of Carlton’s disappearance, he went out to pick up Kayleigh and Bea who had been left on their own in the woods.
The brilliant plot twist comes right at this moment and the actress behind Bea’s best friend, aka co-star Bethany Antonia, revealed the final scene was one of the first scenes they filmed.
“For me, it just epitomises the whole show,” she told Radio Times. “It’s like, you can create a world that looks so calm and peaceful and all the waves have settled, but underneath there’s fish swimming about going crazy.
“And that is what the whole show is about: how well can you really know someone? We started the show with one person we knew kind of nothing about, and now we’ve got three people who are all hiding their own little secrets.”
