Who is Leslie Brooks from The Young And The Restless?
Leslie Brooks is a fictional character on The Young And The Restless, portrayed by Victoria Mallory and formerly by Janice Lynde.
It was announced On February 21, 2018, that Lynde would return to The Young And The Restless on March 26 to reprise the role of Leslie.
This marked the 45th anniversary of the show and fans were worried that this would be her last time returning to the role.
On September 15, 2021, it was announced that Janice Lynde will be making another return to the show and is appearing this October.
Janice Lynde will come back as the world-renowned pianist Leslie Brooks and will be appearing in multiple episodes in the middle of October.
Lynde first played Leslie in the very first episode of The Young and the Restless in 1973. Her appearances continued for another five episodes in 1973, 1975, and 1979. Until she reprised her role in 2018 and 2021.
Who is Janice Lynde?
Janice Lynde was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, by her German parents Marvin and Sophia Zoch.
At the age of four, she started dancing lessons and at five she started playing the piano. By only ten years old, Janice performed a singing solo whilst playing the piano with the Dallas Symphony.
Janice studied music at the University of Indiana and went on to further her studies at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating she moved to New York but not long after that (1973) she found herself in Los Angeles; where she became one of the original cast members of The Young And The Restless.
