Who does Daisy Head play in The Sandman as actor's star continues to rise?

Netflix’s The Sandman is a heady and twisting ride through vivid dreamscapes, underworlds and earthy realms. There are tons of new faces to see in this series, one being British actor Daisy Head. But who is Daisy Head and who does she play in The Sandman?

The original comic ran from 1988 to 1996, with 75 issues and one special. It was written by Neil Gaiman.

The series follows a character called Dream, aka Morpheus, who must deal with the consequences of his past decisions as well as learning deeper empathy while travelling through the various worlds of classical mythology and world history.

We take a closer look at Daisy Head’s acting career so far, as well as her new role in Netflix’s The Sandman.

Netflix’s new series is a fantasy lover’s dream

From dream worlds to travelling through your favorite historical periods, new Netflix show The Sandman has it all.

Based on a comic book of the same name the show follows Morpheus, aka Dream, as he is released from imprisonment and goes on a journey across worlds to recover his power and what was stolen from him.

Dream is a living avatar of creative imagination and brings about new things. He is one of the seven siblings, called The Endless, born of a fling between Night and Time. They are Destiny, Death, Dream, Destruction, Desire, Despair and Delirium.

The show also features actors such as Game Of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie, Doctor Who’s Jenna Coleman, and Harry Potter’s David Thewlis.

Who is Daisy Head from The Sandman?

Daisy Head is a 31-year-old actor from England. She was born on March 7, 1991.

Daisy Head began her career as a child actor in the series Feather Boy in 2004. She has since starred in various British TV shows such as Doctors, Holby City and Doc Martin. Her first big break came playing Kate Quigley in the TV series Harlots and Ruby in TV show Girlfriends.

However, her career has sky-rocketed in the past few years. Head starred as Alexia in Underworld: Blood Wars alongside Kate Beckinsale in 2016, as well as in Netflix’s hit fantasy series Shadow And Bone in 2021. She is also set to star alongside Chris Pine in the new Dungeons And Dragons movie.

She is also set to reprise her role of Genya in the second series of Shadow And Bone, which is rumored to be released this year or early 2023.

Who does she play in the series?

The British actor plays the character of Judy Talbot in The Sandman.

Daisy Head stars in episode five of the series called 24/7. Most of the action takes place inside a diner, where the character John Dee torments a group of six people, making them tell each other uncomfortable truths as well as fighting and torturing them. None of them are allowed to leave the diner.

Judy Talbot is a friend of Bette, a waitress, and is the girlfriend of a woman called Donna. However, Bette begins to fall for her after failing to get a date with Marsh.

No one survives this horrific situation, with Talbot dying alongside the other five people who were trapped inside.

Work has started on script for The Sandman season 2

At the time of writing, there has been no announcement confirming a second season of The Sandman. Netflix has yet to comment on whether the series will return.

However, executive producer David S Goyer told Esquire he has been working on the script for season 2 in hopes Netflix will give them a green-light.

He also said, because the show is based on comics with a rich history, they have enough material for multiple seasons.

There has been a lot of support on social media for the series, with fans hoping Netflix will give them more of this new and exciting universe.
