Stoner Cats is the latest animated series about an old woman played by Jane Fonda and her five feline friends. Here’s where to watch the animation by buying a collectable NFT.
The adult cartoon was created by animators Chris Cartagena, Sarah Cole and Ash Brannon, and Mila Kunis loved the idea.
This project experiments with Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) meaning viewers fund the content they want to watch instead of streaming it. Let’s discover what the difference is.

Where to watch Mila Kunis’ animation Stoner Cats
The first episode is available on YouTube and can be accessed by purchasing NFT’s.
Mila Kunis and Chris Rock are testing a new way of watching shows, meaning that you can’t find Stoner Cats on any television channel or streaming platform.
To watch it, you have to buy one of the show’s NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, using a cryptocurrency called Ethereum.
Stoner Cats animation plot
The Stoner Cats animation is about an old woman called Ms. Stoner who lives with her naughty cats.
Ms. Stoner has Alzheimer’s Disease and uses medical marijuana to help her with her illness. However, when she hotboxes the house, her cats get high and they start talking to each other.
The actors behind the stoned cats are massive A-listers including, Mila Kunis, Chris Rock, Ashton Kutcher, Seth McFarland and Vitalik Buterin who will play “Lord Catsington.”
NFT tokens vs stream
Many people wonder why Mila didn’t go down the traditional route of pitching the idea to Hollywood. They did initially do this but found that their focalisation on marijuana was stopping them from getting good offers.
That’s when Kunis’ production company Orchard Farms developed the idea further for over a year and delved deeper into using NFT’s. Mila thought about audiences buying an NFT token for Stoner Cat and that being a pass to watch the show.
This was a positive outcome from Mila’s quarantining where she revealed “Some people took up baking or knitting, I deep dived into crypto and NFTs,” she told Conan O’Brien on his talk show in June.
Does one NFT token buy one episode?
No, if you purchase an NFT you then get lifetime access to the five-minute-long episodes.
The series will only ever be available to NFT holders and it seems this method has already proved a hit. The sale of over 10,000 NFTs sold out in less than 35 minutes as each card sold at 0.35 ETH which works out at over $800.
This means that the Stoner Cats clan raised over $8.4 million, and prices of the NFT’s can double when sold on, as it becomes a collectables market. Proving the show to be a huge Stoner Cats success!
