It’s been 15 years since Charmed wrapped, yet fans haven’t forgotten about the magical series or where the cast are. Now, even though the show was rebooted back in 2018, the lives of the original cast have drastically changed.
Three sisters, sprinkle of witch magic, and a lot of drama. Charmed became one of the most popular shows in the late 90s and early 00s.
Almost two decades later, the whereabouts of the OG cast have been intriguing to fans, as they have been their favourite actors and actresses on bigger screens up until this day.
The Focus tells you all about where the Charmed cast now and what happened after.
Where the Charmed cast are now
Holly Marie Combs (Piper Halliwell)

Eight years and eight seasons, the beloved character Piper Halliwell stole the hearts of the Charmed audience with her persona.
Not only does she (arguably) have the coolest powers amongst the sisters, but she was also given the responsibility to look after Phoebe (interpreted by Alyssa Milano). Piper had to step up after eldest sister Prue (interpreted by Shannen Doherty) died in season three. Piper was able to stop time in her surrounded environment, and later on be able to cause evil things to explode using her hands.
The actress maintained a relationship with her long-time partner and former Charmed key-grip David Donoho (film crew). The two actors have three sons together but broke off their marriage after seven years.
A few years after Charmed, the actress was cast in the popular show Pretty Little Liars, which ran for seven seasons, as Aria Montgomery’s mum. The Freeform series gained a lot of international reception, which allowed her character of Ella Montgomery to have her own storyline in the series.
During her years in the series, Holly also appeared in various television shows, either as herself or as a guest character. The 48-year-old actress also began producing her own works.
Shannen Doherty (Prue Halliwell)

Now, if we’re talking about where the Charmed cast are now, we have to talk about Prue.
Not only did Shannen steal the hearts of many through her time on The Beverly Hills, 90210, but she also took the central role as the eldest sister of the Halliwell trio in Charmed.
Having the powers of telekinesis and astral projection, her character becomes the most powerful out of the three sisters. This is a big responsibility for Prue. However, Shannen’s journey in the series didn’t last long, and left halfway through. Her character was killed off after being attacked by Shax, a demonic assassin.
According to media reports, Doherty claimed there was “too much drama on the set and not enough passion for the work”. It’s claimed she was referring to her relationship with her on-screen sister Alyssa Milano. Nonetheless, the 51-year-old actress revealed in 2021 that the two were on good terms.
Returning to her roots, the actress retook her role of Brenda Walsh in the spin-off in 90210, and then again for BH90210.
In 2015, Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer and the actress announced it had returned in 2020. However, that didn’t stop the star from continuing her career.
Doherty has appeared in popular television series such as Riverdale and Dying to Belong. She has also appeared in films such as Fortress and Hot Seat, with other two projects to be released in the upcoming years.
Alyssa Milano (Phoebe Halliwell)

The popular Alyssa Milano, who shot to fame on the sitcoms Who’s The Boss and Melrose Place bagged a major role as the youngest Halliwell sister. Her powers were just like any teenager would’ve wished to have – premonitions, levitation and empathy.
However, as much as Phoebe and Prue loved and cared about each other, Shannen and Alyssa didn’t so much. The two actresses reportedly didn’t get on, which led to Prue parting ways with the series.
Alyssa has appeared throughout the entire series, making her an OG, just like Holly Marie. After Charmed ended, she went on to star in popular series such as Grey’s Anatomy, the Wet Hot American Summer reboot, and The Now.
Alyssa has also starred in the popular film Little Italy alongside Emma Roberts and Hayden Christensen.
In 2021, the 49-year-old actress suffered a car crash with her uncle, who had a medical condition. USA Today reports the star’s uncle suffered a medical emergency and fell unconscious behind the wheel when he was taking her to a doctor’s appointment. Thankfully she later gave an update where he was on the mend and neither suffered serious injuries.
Rose McGowan (Paige Matthews)

When Shannen Doherty abruptly left the show, Rose McGowan came to take over. Not as the eldest sister, but for being a half-Whitelighter (and a relative). The actress stayed throughout the entirety of the series, making her a well-loved character despite her occasional odd behaviour.
Thanks to Charmed, the popularity of the actress skyrocketed, which allowed her to star in big-screen movies such as Deathproof, Planet Terror, and Conan the Barbarian amongst others.
The 48-year-old actress was recognised by Time as one of the Silence Breakers in 2017 for speaking out about an alleged sexual assault by Harvey Weinstein, writes The Independent. During the #MeToo movement, the star alleged the disgraced film producer sexually assaulted her. In March 2020, Weinstein was sentenced for 23 years in prison after being convicted of sexual assault and third-degree rape. McGowan was not one of the six women who testified against Weinstein.
Brian Krause (Leo Wyatt)

Leo Wyatt became a one to watch. His character is a favourite of many fans, and of course, Piper’s (who played his wife). The undeniable bond between the two stayed right until the end of the series, despite the few bumpy roads and the tension between the Halliwells and The Elders. Fans were even able to see their family expand in the show offering a different side to the series.
Years after his role as Leo Wyatt ended, the actor has been occasionally appearing on television for TV shows like Mad Men, The Castle, and Dynasty.
Brian has kept a very active career, with projects appearing year by year. The 53-year-old has bagged main roles for First Lyst and Cypher, as well as other television movies released in the past years.
Rebecca Balding (Elise Rothman)

Auntie Elise was a maternal figure for the Halliwell sisters. The character of Rebecca Balding didn’t have any family left, and she grew a very strong bond with Phoebe. She even referred to her as the best friend and daughter that she never had.
Her very last appearance for the series was in 2006. After, Rebecca played a short part in medical drama television series ER. The late actress kept a very private life until she returned for the film Yesterday’s Dream in 2005.
After years of a legacy, consistent work, and after keeping a low profile, Rebecca passed away at the age of 73.
As per the reports by Deadline, the beloved actress died from ovarian cancer, which she had been battling secretly for years. Her husband and actor-director James L. Conway announced the heartbreaking news.
