Q13 News This Morning viewers wondered where news anchor Liz Dueweke was today as she did not appear on the morning show today Friday, 11 June. Her absence followed a post on social media where she revealed her dog had died.

Where is Liz Dueweke?

Liz Dueweke, who is an anchor on Q13 News This Morning from 5 till 10 am wasn’t on-screen today, with some viewers wondering where she was.

Dueweke’s absence on the morning show today came after she took to social media on Thursday, 10 June to announce her dog Wolfie had died.

In an emotional post to Instagram, she wrote: “We said goodbye to Wolfie today. I adopted him 15 years ago, almost to the day.

“You know some day you’ll have to say goodbye, but Wolfie was my main man. He was my first dog. My best bud. My baby. He felt immortal. He was the best dog in the world.”

The morning anchor added: “Please hug your furry friends and give them extra treats today in honour of sweet Wolfie, who loved extra treats. We will never forget you, good boy. We will always love you. Sweet Wolfie. 2-27-04//6-10-21.”


Fans have since shared their condolences to the news anchor on both Instagram and Twitter.

Who is Liz Dueweke?

Liz Dueweke has been part of Q13 News This Morning for seven years having joined the show in 2014. The anchor often posts behind-the-scene moments from her role at Q13, including snaps alongside her co-anchors.

Before joining Q13, Dueweke reported as part of a number of different stations and locations including Oklahoma City and Flint, Michigan.
