Where is Abby Phillip?

Abby Phillip is known for hosting the Sunday edition of hour-long political review show Inside Politics. However, fans have recently wondered where Phillip is as she has been absent from the show for a number of weeks.

Phillip, who revealed she was expecting her first child in March in an interview with Gayle King for The Cut, is currently on maternity leave, having welcomed her daughter Naomi Angelina Richardson last month.

The CNN political correspondent announced the news exclusively with People and later shared the arrival of her daughter on Instagram.

At the time, she revealed her daughter’s first name Naomi means “pleasant one” while her middle name, Angelina, is a tribute to Phillip’s grandmother, who passed away in 2014.

When will Abby Phillip return to Inside Politics?

Abby Phillip announced she would be going on maternity leave in July and at the time said she would not return until “later this year“.

As part of her regular hosting duties on Inside Politics, she explained: “On a personal note, this is my last Sunday before I go on maternity leave for our family’s big breaking news event, the birth of our daughter.

Phillip continued: “But Inside Politics will be back next weekend with the help of our guest host, Manu Raju, and I will see you later this year.”

Abby Phillip has been part of CNN since 2017, when she joined the network as a White House correspondent.

After almost four years, she has become known to CNN viewers as a senior political correspondent and host of Inside Politics’ Sunday show.

Before joining CNN, Abby Phillip worked as a reporter for a number of well-known publications, including The Washington Post, ABC News and Politico.
