Sasha Calle is taking her talents to DC in the upcoming film The Flash. The actress who plays Lola is leaving Y&R to further her career, as she has landed the feature role of DC Universe’s new Supergirl.
Soaps reported that the Y&R wrote a farewell statement although never mentioned the word good-bye. This may suggest that Lola Rosales may be making a comeback when the time is right.
“On behalf of everyone at The Young and the Restless, we’d like to congratulate Sasha Calle on making history and being chosen to play the first Latina Supergirl,” read a joint statement from executive producer Anthony Morina and co-executive producer/head writer Josh Griffith. “The role of Supergirl is a perfect fit for someone of Sasha’s immense talent, and we wish her all the best as she takes on this groundbreaking role.”
This has led fans to wonder whether her exit will involve a recast or if Lola will be leaving the screens for good.

Sasha has broken the internet by becoming the first Latina Supergirl in DC history, she will be debuting this role when the film releases in 2022.
The Flash director Andy Muschietti posted the video to social media on February 19th 2021 of him announcing the casting news to DC fans across the platform.
Andy Muschietti said the actress really stood out to him, “I saw more than four hundred auditions. The talent pool was truly amazing and it was very hard to make a decision, but we finally found an actress who was destined to play this role,”
