Nate’s wife, Atoya Burleson, also works in the world of sports and sports broadcasting.
Born 1978, Atoya is chief executive and host of inSIDELINES, a podcast about the lives of NFL wives who, having sacrificed personal freedoms to support their husbands’ professional careers, “realise life has just begun” when their husbands retire.
She is a former collegiate hurdle champion and attended the University of Nevada on a track-and-field scholarship. It was while studying that she and Nate met.
They have two sons (Nathaniel and Nehemiah) and a daughter (Mia) together, all of whom feature in Nate’s Instagram feed.
