On Wednesday (30 March) actress Mishael Morgan, of soap opera The Young And The Restless, shared the devastating news of the death of her brother-in-law and his children in a horrific house fire.
The star said five people had tragically lost their lives in the blaze as Mishael announced the brother of her husband, Navid Ali, and his family had died.
CP24 reports there were six people inside the house and five of them, Navid’s brother and his family, unfortunately passed away. A sixth person is receiving treatment at hospital after suffering critical injuries.

‘I’m in absolute disbelief’
The soap opera star took to Twitter to reveal her husband’s brother Nazir, his wife Raven Alisha Ali-O’Dea, and their children Alaia, Jayden and Layla were all killed in the house fire in Brampton Ontario, Canada.
She wrote: “On Monday morning my husband’s only brother perished with his wife and three kids in a tragic house fire. I am still in absolute disbelief. My sister-in-law set up a fund, please pray for my family and donate if you are able.”

Mishael Morgan shares GoFundMe page after house fire
In the tweet, the actress included a link to the GoFundMe page on which people can donate to cover funeral expenses following the tragedy. More than C$61,715 had been raised in a matter of days towards the $150,000 target.
The GoFundMe page, set up by Mishael’s sister-in-law Bismah Ali, reads: “Nazir and Raven were two of the most amazing young people who dedicated their lives to their children. They were loving, selfless and empathetic.
“Our three little angels were their grandparent’s pride and joy. Their smiles would light up the room as their curiosity usually got the best of them.
“As a family, we are devastated to lose two generations in a blink of an eye. Our homes are broken as we mourn a loss that we can never replace.”

Who is Mishael Morgan on The Young And The Restless?
Mishael made her acting debut in The Young And The Restless in 2013. Five years later she announced she would be leaving the show and her character, Hilary Curtis, was killed off on 27 July 2018 in a car accident.
Nonetheless, as per Soap Opera Digest, the actress returned to the show on 19 September 2019 as new character Amanda Sinclair and she has remained on the soap since.
Mishal was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2018 and 2019 in the outstanding supporting actress in a drama series category for her portrayal of Hilary.
