Newcomers Lola Tung and Chris Briney portray teenagers in Amazon coming-of-age series The Summer Turned Pretty (TSITP), so let’s explore their real age.

If you’ve been craving a teen love story after To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and The Kissing Booth, look no further, summer 2022 has the answer for you.

Based on the first book in a trilogy by Jenny Han, author of To All The Boys, The Summer I Turned Pretty focuses on the love triangle between Isabel “Belly” Conklin and her childhood friends, brothers Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher.

The series is Lola Tung and Chris Briney’s first major acting gig. They portray 16-year-olds on screen but what sort of age are they IRL?

The Summer I Turned Pretty cast age explored

Lola Tung (Isabel)

You’ve probably never seen Tung before because the Amazon show is her first acting job. In fact, TSITP was her first ever audition and had Han immediately rooting for the role, calling her the “perfect Belly”.

The author and actress have formed a close relationship as, on the penultimate day of filming in 2021, Tung celebrated her 19th birthday on set and Han gifted her two cakes and a diamond infinity necklace.

When she’s not filming, you’ll catch Tung singing or listening to music – she’s a big fan of Lizzy McAlpine and Japanese Breakfast.

There isn’t much information regarding the teenager’s personal life, but her mother is Pia Marie.

Judging from this image, Tung was a student at The Brit School Theatre in London, England:

Christopher Briney (Conrad)

Born and raised in Connecticut, Briney now lives in New York City. He was an avid baseball player until he attended Waterbury Arts Magnet School and discovered his love for acting.

He graduated with a degree in acting for film, TV, voiceover and commercial from Pace University in 2020, meaning he’s around 24 years old.

TSITP is the actor’s first TV series, although he is experienced in film and theatre. Overall, he’s appeared in seven theatre productions, including three by Shakespearience Productions.

As for film, he played lead roles in Daliland, Steph, A/B Scenes and Racing The Clock.

Gavin Casalegno (Jeremiah)

A cast member who may look familiar, Caselegno is best known as Trevor Strand from CW’s Walker. His acting career launched at just seven years old and, in 2015, he appeared as young Damon in The Vampire Diaries. He’s even worked alongside Russell Crowe and Anthony Hopkins in Noah.

The 22-year-old is currently dating model and actress Larsen Thompson.
