Why did Sydney Benter leave KXAN?
Sydney Benter announced she was leaving her role at KXAN on 24 May in a post to her 2,542 followers on Instagram. However, Benter did not specify why she was leaving the station in the post.
In the lengthy post, she wrote: “It’s time to remove the blinders that have allowed me to plough through the last couple months. I can’t avoid the date on my calendar any longer – Friday says: ‘last day at KXAN.'”
Benter went on to thank her friends and family for their support over the past four years as well as her colleagues and KXAN viewers.

Where is the news anchor going?
The news anchor has yet to confirm any future plans after leaving her role at KXAN last month. However, Benter has hinted she is open to new opportunities in the comments on her Instagram.
Wishing her good luck after leaving KXAN, one fan wrote: “One of the best! Can’t wait to see what’s next!” Benter replied: “Ha! You and me both. It would help if I could actually see it myself!”
