Doom Patrol returned to HBO Max yesterday (23 September) as season 3 of the comedy superhero series premiered. Following its debut, fans are curious to know more about actor Stephen Murphy who joins Doom Patrol as Garguax.

Actor joins the cast of Doom Patrol

In season 3 of Doom Patrol, alien warlord Garguax joins the show. The character was introduced to DC fans in the Earth One comics as an agent from Zarox-13 who comes to earth to test his advanced science skills on the human race.

The alien conqueror is played by Stephen Murphy, who is transformed into the red-eyed, green fleshed alien depicted in the early DC comics.

Hinting at the character’s fate in the series, Doom Patrol show runner Jeremy Carver said: “Will Garguax continue to be loyal to an evil leader or will he be loyal to himself? It’s not unlike the Doom Patrol questioning where they stand in the aftermath of their own tragedy.”
