General Hospital's Ryan Paevey lands multi-movie deal with Hallmark

The latest addition to Hallmark’s repertoire is Ryan Paevey, the General Hospital alum who is no stranger to the big screen has previously appeared in Hallmark movies. Following their success, Paevey is set to lead the upcoming Two Tickets To Paradise for Hallmark in June.

Before his Hallmark success, Paevey was causing chaos in Port Charles as Detective Nathan West on General Hospital. After his character was killed off the show in 2018, the actor decided to pursue his Hallmark career and jewellery business.

Crown Media have signed on a load of other talent among Paevey including Tamera Mowry, Lacey Chabert, Holly Robinson Peete, Jonathan Bennett, Andrew Walker, Heather Hemmens, Brennan Elliott, Aimee Teegarden, Luke Macfarlane and Taylor Cole. First, let’s take a look at Ryan Paevey’s multi-movie Hallmark deal.

General Hospital’s Ryan Paevey lands multi-movie deal

Ryan Paevey has landed an exclusive multi-movie deal with the Hallmark Channel. The official Hallmark Channel and the actor announced the news via Instagram and fans immediately took to the comments section to send their congratulations.

Crown Media Family Networks’ new Executive Vice President, Lisa Hamilton Daly, spoke on the addition of the General Hospital alum stating “We’re excited to extend our partnership with Ryan and can’t wait to get started on his next project for us.”

Ryan Paevey explains his General Hospital status

During an interview, Paevey was asked whether he had ever thought about returning to General Hospital. “No, I haven’t,” he revealed and when given the ultimatum of ABC potentially recasting the role, Paevey explained, “If the fans have developed an attachment to a character and you don’t want to do it anymore… again, I’m not saying I don’t want to be Nathan, I just.. in the moment there’s nothing in the works.”

Ryan Paevey’s Hallmark career explored

Ryan Paevey appeared in two Hallmark movies during his General Hospital tenure, including roles in Unleashing Mr Darcy (2016) and Harvest Love (2017). In 2018, Paevey appeared in Marrying Mr Darcy and Hope at Christmas on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. 

The following year, in 2019, Paevey starred in multiple Hallmark Channel original movies such as From Friend to Fiancé, A Summer Romance and Christmas at the Plaza. More recently, Paevey featured in the Hallmark movies Matching Hearts, A Timeless Christmas, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, A Little Daytime Drama and Coyote Creek Christmas.

Talking about the deal, Paevey explained, “Being part of Hallmark is like no other experience I’ve ever had. The creative people I’ve had the pleasure of working with both at the network and on every set have made this collaboration so special and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
