Roya Megnot’s career explored
Megnot was best known for her role as cunning Ava on the ABC’s Loving which she played from 1984 to 1988, and again briefly in 1990. Megnot was hired as a newcomer when she first landed the role of Ava on Loving, she took over the role from a different actor who had only sustained the character for less than a year. Fans instantly fell in love with Megnot’s portrayal of the innocent yet highly mischievous mistress who loved to meddle.
After four years playing Ava in Loving, Megnot left the soap to go into primetime television scoring roles on shows such as MacGyver, Quantum Leap, Silk Stalkings, Tales From The Crypt, Tales From The Crypt and True Blue.

Roya Megnot was born on 29th May 1962 in Southfield, Michigan, United States. She sadly passed away just weeks before her 47th birthday.
The actor lived life to the fullest: “She had an appetite for life and all good things,” read the mother of four’s obituary in the L.A. Times. “She taught all around her how to enjoy each day and live life to the fullest.”
She was also a beloved wife to husband Joel and the mother of four children called Camille, Ariana, Abraham, and Natalie. Roya is the daughter of Parviz and Lillian Megnot and is survived by her siblings Jilla and Neda.
