As season four of FX’s Mayans MC hit our screens this week, the popular crime drama paid tribute to one of its late cast members in the end credits of its opener.
Following the events of the first episode, actor Roel Navarro’s death was honoured as a message at the end of the episode which read “Our brother, Roel Navarro,”.

FX’s Mayans MC honour Roel Navarro
In the end credits of the season four opener, the show paid tribute to late cast member Roel Navarro.
Some fans may recognise the actor for his role as Pavia across seasons two and three of Mayans MC. According to his IMDb, he starred in a total of eight episodes which included the season three finale.
According to tributes on the actor’s Instagram, Roel Navarro sadly died in October last year.
Following news of Roel Navarro’s death, fellow Mayans MC actor Raoul Max Trujillo who plays Che ‘Taza’ Romero on the show, also dedicated a post to the late actor.

A look at the actor’s past roles
Away from his stint on Mayans MC, Roel Navarro is credited to have featured in some well-known shows across TV.
Jane The Virgin fans may be familiar with the actor as he played the older version of Mateo Sr, aka the late husband of Alba Villanueva and grandfather of Jane, in a flashback on the show.
He also featured in popular soaps such as The Young And The Restless, General Hospital and The Bold And The Beautiful.
A few of his other notable TV appearances include Dr Vasquez in NBC’s Chicago PD, Julio Calderon in Fox’s Empire and Mayor of West Covina in CW’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
