Robert Adamson has really stripped back the truths of 2021 and bared all to his followers in a recent Instagram of him posing shirtless. With an inspiring caption beneath, this body transformation is one that must be seen to be believed.
The 36-year-old, who has the abs of a 21-year-old gym shark, starred as Noah Newman on The Young And The Restless from 2012 to 2020. While he has been away from the hit soap opera, it seems he has been keeping busy at the gym.
Adamson entered the new year with a revitalising sense of determination so, as you marvel at the actor’s transformation, let’s delve deeper into the story behind the post.

Robert Adamson’s amazing body transformation
On 5 January, Robert Adamson posted to his 39.8 K followers on Instagram; let’s be honest, it was the pick me up we all needed. The actor isn’t usually one to delve into the depths of his personal life online, never mind showing off his enviably toned physique, but this particular post did just that. As a result, it was the guidance and motivation we didn’t know we needed.
In the post he stated: “I never post these. But I’ve been working really hard.
“So here’s my reminder. It’s been a tough year. Physically, mentally, socially, professionally. I’ve never let myself go as much as I have in the last year and a half. First, it started mentally, then the physical deterioration began. I cut myself off from friends and family and, like many of us, accepted my fate as the new normal took hold.”
Former Y&R star shares inspiring message to followers
“It’s never too late to start again, to rebuild,” said the actor, who has been out of the acting game for a year. “The beginning is always the hardest. Start slow. Don’t force it. Give yourself a little grace. Try to get a little sunshine and surround yourself with people who value your health and your growth more than those who want to commiserate in misery.
“You are not alone,” he wrote as words of comfort to followers. “Walk the harder path, but don’t despair when you’ve wandered down the easier ones. The whole of you is not just in what you can accomplish but what you can overcome. Don’t hide so much. Possibly my most frequently observed trait.”
Touching on how long he has gone without an acting job, he wrote: “I’ve never gone this long in between work, and this weighs on me no end. Some of this has been out of my hands, like everyone else afflicted with a global pandemic, but most I must accept responsibility for.
“Find the fight,” he wrote with motivation, “Don’t accept the inner ego that points the finger and shifts the blame. Your fate is your own: All of your accomplishments, as well as your failures, belong to you. Continue being the man who does what he says. And like my mom always tells me… remember who you are.”
How does Robert Adamson stay in shape?
It’s no secret Adamson has always been in pretty good shape and he has sometimes shared snaps of himself working out with professional trainer Sean Carrigan at Petramale boxing gym.
He also stays in shape by going on hikes and, more specifically, climbing. Adamson has a real passion for rock climbing and has shared pictures of him climbing big rocks in Utah where he would spend days in nature. The actor has been climbing on and off for more than ten years, and it seems he learnt a lot from his sister who excels in the sport.
Not to forget, being a dad and running after your kids is one of the most rewarding ways to stay in shape. Adamson and ex-fiancée Linsey Godfrey welcomed daughter Aleda Seren on 12 June 2014.
After months of speculation on 3 August 2015, it was confirmed Adamson and Godfrey had ended their relationship but would continue to co-parent Aleda in a ”loving and amicable environment with her needs always our common priority”.
Fans are now begging Adamson to skip the gym sessions and get back to Genoa City as they miss his version of Noah Newman on the soap opera screen.
