After Peter Reckell’s Days Of Our Lives character Bo Brady passed away, it’s safe to say he has rarely been on the soap canvas. However, Reckell recently returned to meet the actress who plays his on-screen daughter, Victoria Konefal.
We often see Reckell return to Days Of Our Lives as Bo’s ghost, and it wasn’t long since the devil storyline which was pretty creepy but also rather comforting. Although his ghost has been in scenes with Ciara and Ben, it appears the actors haven’t met before.
However, with Peacock’s Beyond Salem coming back around, the onscreen father and daughter have had a heartwarming meet.
Heartwarming moment Peter Reckell meets Victoria Konefal
Peter Reckell had never met the actress who plays his on-screen daughter, Victoria Konefal, or her onscreen husband, Robert Scott Wilson. However, on Wednesday, 29th June at the NBC studios soap veteran, Peter Reckell, showed up to finally meet his onscreen family.
NBC’s Days Of Our Lives shared an Instagram video of the meeting and captioned it: “Witness a Beyond Salem father/daughter meeting!” Viewers were given a preview of what went down as Robert Scott Wilson (Ben) and Peter Reckell (Bo) shook hands. Wilson introduced himself and Reckell replied “Hey Rob, nice to meet you.” Reckell then met Victoria Konefal (Ciara), as she went in for a hug and introduced herself.
“So glad you were able to come in and do this,” Reckell told Konefal and Wilson, who kindly replied, “Likewise”, as Konefal exclaimed “oh my gosh,” shaking her head in disbelief. The actors were clearly over the moon to meet the soap icon and their on-screen late father. They even took to the Instagram post as Reckell wrote in the comments “Legend.” and Konefal penned “*cries like a Brady.*”
How did Bo Brady die?
Bo died of a brain tumour back in 2015.
Bo was being held prisoner and tortured for years, and when he was finally rescued by Steve Johnson he was overjoyed to be reunited with his daughter, Ciara.
However, he then discovered that he had a brain tumour and his body was so weak from the torture that he couldn’t have treatment. Following his welcome home party, he reunited with Hope and confided in her about his tumour before passing away by her side.
Beyond Salem is back!
As seen in Beyond Salem’s official trailer, Ciara and Ben will be reunited with Hope, which calls for a deep conversation and a lot of catching up.
Let’s just say Days Of Our Lives fans have a lot to look forward to come Monday, 11th July, when the Salem residents travel to Montreal, Monte Carlo and Hong Kong on an exciting adventure. Bring on more of the Brady bunch!
