The fourth and final series of popular teen comedy-drama On My Block was released on Netflix yesterday, Monday, 4 October. As the new series premieres, fans have taken to Twitter as they discuss the On My Block character Noel Aroma who some seem to think is a parody of billionaire tech giant Elon Musk.
Who is On My Block character Noel Aroma?
Fans of On My Block first meet the character Noel Aroma in the fourth season, although his storyline follows on from season 3 of the show.
During the third season, new student Kendra joins the show as she starts attending the same school as Jamal and his friends. Her arrival in the series followed on from the takedown of the gang known as the Prophets. Jamal’s friends initially think Kendra is a member and is seeking revenge.
Kendra later appears in the fourth season as she reveals she is actually an intern for tech billionaire Noel Aroma. At the time, she explains to Jamal she has been keeping tabs on him to assess whether he is the right candidate to work alongside Aroma.
Aroma, an idol of Jamal’s, goes on to offer Jamal a job to work alongside him after he finishes high school, which he later accepts.

Is he a real billionaire?
Noel Aroma is introduced within the series as a tech billionaire who has ranked as part of Fortune’s 500, a list of America’s largest companies.
While Aroma is portrayed at the helm of his own tech empire in the series, the character seems to be a parody of real-life billionaire Elon Musk.
Similar to Aroma, Musk is also featured on Fortune’s 500 as his electronic car company Tesla, in which he is the chief executive of is currently 100 on Fortune’s 2021 list.
