General Hospital’s Laura Wright has ditched the scrubs for fishing and after getting a huge catch, she might have found a new career.
Laura Wright is best known for her portrayal of Carly Corinthos on the show and has won a Daytime Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a drama series. Laura Wright was introduced on the General Hospital canvas in 1996 and has remained in the role since 2005.
Let’s take a look at what the seasoned soap veteran has been getting up to recently as she flings her fly rod into the water.
GH’s Laura Wright ditches scrubs for fishing
Laura Wright has had her first experience fly fishing and she appeared to absolutely love it. “Such an incredible day on the river !!” she shared with her 348,000 Instagram followers.
The actress then went on to reveal that she was actually very successful at fly fishing and caught 5. In fact, she caught 6 and the 6th was her biggest one but it managed to get away.
Wright then wrote “Thank you @steamboatflyfisher “you guys are awesome!!!” which is who she took the trip with on the Steamboat Springs in Colorado.
Laura recently hit the water again and went white water rafting with friends and family. The actress shared a clip from the experience in Fort Collins, Colorado and encouraged people to go – telling them to ask for the instructor called Lucas.
Cameron Mathison commented on the picture “Omg we are the same person” because he recently shared that his family did a white water rafting experience too.
Laura Wright gets adventurous with Wes Ramsey
Ramsey and Wright are former General Hospital castmates as she plays Carly and he was playing Peter. They initially met when they were both working on Guiding Light.
In fact, Ramsey had a crush on Wright for a while, even though she was married and pregnant with her second child. When Wright was single in 2017, Ramsey decided to shoot his shot and ask her on a date. Laura later revealed that this was her “best first date ever” and that he “took her breath away.”
Laura Wright and Wes Ramsey have been doing lots of adventurous activities recently as they are visiting Ramsey’s family in Colorado. They went one step further than fishing and had “an incredible morning spent in the sky” hot air ballooning.
Wright’s head was in the clouds even after coming back down to land as she gushed, “What an incredible experience!” she also thanked the company she flew with, “for a spectacular ride and for a perfect landing.”
