While Killing Eve fans may be having Jodie Comer withdrawal symptoms already, as the third season has come to an end, they can catch her in a new BBC drama.
Talking Heads, a modern retelling of the 1988 Alan Bennett TV series, will star Comer along with a number of well-known actors performing a series of monologues.
The original Talking Heads monologues were first seen on the BBC in 1988 and 1998. They won two Baftas, an RTS and are also on the A-level and GCSE English Literature syllabus.
The new all-star cast includes Monica Dolan, Martin Freeman and Tamsin Greig. Others include Sarah Lancashire, Lesley Manville and Lucian Msamati.
According to BBC Press Office on Twitter, Jodie Comer is set to appear in an episode titled ‘Her Big Chance.’
Character shots were revealed in the tweet. Jodie wears a low-cut white blouse with puffed long sleeves. She has her hair curled and tied in a ponytail and sits in a bedroom in front of a window in a much more traditional look to her modern Vilanelle outfits in BBC’s Killing Eve.
Filming for the new drama began in April. The BBC followed Government guidelines during the Covid-19 crisis for filming.
Produced by London Theatre Company, the new Talking Heads will air on BBC One from Tuesday, June 23.
As with Killing Eve, all 12 monologues in the series will also appear on BBC iPlayer. So, viewers will be able to binge-watch the rest of the episodes at their leisure.
