Who does Julio Macias play in Jane The Virgin?

Finding fame in 2018 for his role as Oscar Diaz in On My Block, Julio Macias has become a well-loved actor among fans of the show.

With On My Block and Jane The Virgin both being Netflix series with a similar fan-base, it didn’t take long before Macias was spotted in the fourth season of Jane The Virgin.

Although Macias’ character did not appear to have a name, he plays a male student in a writing class.

What happens in Julio Macias’ Jane The Virgin scene?

Macias appears in the episode entitled Chapter Seventy-Seven, where he is joined by Jane Villanueva, played by Gina Rodriguez.

The scene, which lasts just over a minute, sees Jane, five classmates and a teacher discuss a novel she published.

Although Macias’ Jane The Virgin Cameo is not long-lived, he does have a small speaking role.

Julio Macias’ appearance in Jane The Virgin wasn’t recent, the episode having premiered on 16 March 2018. However, fans are continuing to spot him as they rewatch the show.

Fans of On My Block took to Twitter to share their shock when they noticed Macias’ cameo, excited to see him on their screens.

Playing a very different role to his character in On My Block, fans were confused to see Macias without the tattoos he usually appears with when playing Oscar.
