What is John Cena’s net worth 2022?
As per The Mirror, John Cena’s WWE salary is an estimated $8.5 million per year. Meaning that Cena overtook Brock Lesnar becoming the highest-paid wrestler in WWE. However, this doesn’t make up for all of the other ventures that Cena has taken on. Celebrity Net Worth reports that John Cena’s overall net worth is an estimated $60 million as of 2022.
In addition to his salary from wrestling with the WWE, Cena’s earnings are also made up from the on-screen projects that he has featured on over the years.
The wrestler announced his return to wrestling last year, 2021, but also talked about why he wanted to start acting. “I didn’t want to really leave in the first place but I was faced with a bold choice and that bold choice is to try your hand at another way of entertaining people through movies and television,” he told Forbes last August.
“But if you take that risk, then you can’t be on the WWE in a full capacity. I could speak maybe or I could be an announcer but you can’t participate. You can’t have matches because the insurance companies bound you to the production.” he explained, when talking on his leap into the entertainment industry.
“This is the first time,” he added. “I’ve been filming movies a lot and that’s why I’ve been away. This is the first time I got a break. I have this block of time, so instead of taking a deep breath and kind of letting it all sink in, I wanted to go home and see my family in WWE, so back to the ring I go!”
Peacemaker actor’s salary revealed
However, when Cena began training to be a professional wrestler at the age of 22, his career really took off. A year later, he held the Ultimate Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship Title for 27 days in a row.
In 2001, he left the UPW and moved on to a contract with WWE, a move that led him to become one of the most popular wrestlers of all time.
Cena has also lent his hand in the music industry as a rapper. Cena’s 2005 album You Can’t See Me sold around 150,000 copies worldwide and reportedly received gold status from the Recording Industry Association of America.
