When he starred as Michael Bluth on Arrested Development he was raking in $125,000 per episode. To put that into perspective, there were 68 episodes in total, coming to a grand sum of $8,500,000. Not to mention the hefty paychecks from his countless film credits. Bateman has also worked as a director and producer on numerous projects including Bad Words and The Family Fang.

Variety reported that Bateman earned $300,000 per episode. Each season has 10 episodes aside from the final season which was split into two parts. Jason Bateman’s role in Ozark explored

Ozark follows Martin “Marty” Byrde who is played by Bateman. Martin is a married father of two and is a financial adviser from Chicago. A money-laundering scheme for a Mexican drug cartel goes pear-shaped and in hopes of not getting shot as his co-worker did, he agrees to an unrealistic deal.

Marty offers to set up a larger operation in the Missouri Ozarks and starts to launder money for the cartel with his wife, Wendy (Laura Linney), and their kids: Charlotte (Sofia Hublitz) and Jonah (Skylar Gaertner).

Over the course of the four seasons, we see how Marty and Wendy adapt to the underworld and raise their kids in these dangerous settings. Season four will sadly be the final instalment of the show and we can’t wait to see what Jason Bateman’s next role will be.
