Kin Shriner has sadly called it a wrap for his time on General Hospital. As the attorney takes a back seat, fans are curious to know what his next move will be.
Days before the new year rang in, GH’s beloved actor Kin Shriner announced his current run on the daytime drama had come to a halt. Port Charles crime rates are bound to shoot up even more without everyone’s favourite shady lawyer around.
Sorry Scott Baldwin fans, but Shriner’s run on General Hospital is officially done. Let’s figure out what his plans are as he moves on to his next venture.

Kin Shriner’s daring plans now Scotty’s GH run is over
Shriner’s daring plans involve a Vespa, the Floridian sunshine, and relaxing in the tropics. This is a fabulously exciting venture for the 68-year-old as he will be zooming off into the distance on a motor scooter.
“Thanks, GH fans for all the encouraging mentions,” the actor tweeted. “Scotty’s run is done, so heading to Florida to ride Vespa around the tropics!”
Shriner’s home state of Florida seems to be his favourite place to be. When he’s not filming General Hospital at Prospect Studios in Los Angeles, Kin likes to be at his home in Florida. However, fans were hoping he’d stay in Port Charles a while longer. Partly because Scott’s romance with Obrecht was just kicking off but also because he has had such a long tenure on the soap. It’s a shame to see him go.
Kin confirmed to Twitter followers he is sticking to his plans as he tweeted: “I am on Vespa.” He has also shared that he is keen to do more scuba diving, although he reassured GH fans he would never forget his role of Scotty on @GeneralHospital.

Scott Baldwin’s career on General Hospital
The character Scott Baldwin was introduced on General Hospital midway through the 1960s, when he was played by child actor Johnny Whitaker. A couple of other child stars played the role until Schriner took over in 1977.
The actor has been on and off the soap over the decades, meaning fans are still holding out hope Schriner will return to GH at some point. Schriner left GH in the early 1980s when he was working on a project entitled Texas as Jeb Hampton. In 1997, he brought Hampton over to Port Charles for four years.
Schriner is a loved actor in the soap community and has appeared on to a lot of daytime favourites. His role on The Bold And The Beautiful as Dr Brian Carey is one no-one will forget. Then there’s his role as Keith Morrissey on As The World Turns, while The Young And The Restless fans saw him as Harrison Bartlett and Jeffrey Bardwell.
However, the soap Schriner has spent most time on is General Hospital and he has earned three Daytime Emmy Award nominations. His fourth nomination was for his role in spin-off show Port Charles.
