Sutton has become a familiar face having forecast the weather as part of the Oklahoma TV station for more than a decade.
As viewers have got to know the KFOR weather anchor over the years, some are curious fo know whether their favourite forecaster is pregnant.
Is KFOR’s Emily Sutton pregnant?
Yes. In case you missed it, last month KFOR meteorologist Emily Sutton confirmed she was expecting while on-air during her weather report.
During her 1 June forecast, Sutton gave viewers some added information with the latest weather news as she hinted at something else they could expect this fall.
An ultrasound scan video then popped up on the screen in place of her weather map as she revealed she was pregnant while placing her hands on her growing bump.
She went on to explain her new bundle of joy is expected just in time for Thanksgiving but she would be waiting for the birth to know whether she is having a boy or a girl.
Sutton talks about fertility journey
While announcing her baby news on-air last month, the meteorologist candidly spoke about the fertility struggles she has faced.
Sutton explained: “After a long road of infertility, four years, we’re finally having a baby.” As she joined her fellow KFOR team, she went on to share a message of hope to viewers who have also struggled with fertility.
She continued: “I just wanted to do a special note for anyone who is struggling with infertility. We certainly know what that’s like and just hold on if you can and hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
The KFOR meteorologist also mentioned her fertility journey on Instagram as she shared the baby news with her 42,100 followers on the picture-sharing site:
Meteorologist is already a dog mom
While the KFOR newscaster is set to welcome a new bundle of joy to her family, she is already a dog mom to her old English bulldog Winnie she shares with her partner, Michael.
Sutton also had a springer spaniel named Okie and ran an account for him and Winnie, although the meteorologist announced Okie had sadly passed away last month.
In celebration of Mother’s Day in May, Sutton shared she felt “blessed to be a dog mom” as she honoured mothers across the world on her Instagram:
Sutton has been part of KFOR for more than a decade
Emily Sutton has been at the Oklahoma TV station for 13 years, having first joined KFOR in 2009.
On her arrival, she became KFOR-TV’s first female meteorologist and has since become known for her forecasts across the station’s morning and afternoon weather segments.
Before joining the KFOR team, Sutton worked as a meteorologist for other local stations, including NBC Virginia affiliate WCYB and ABC Missouri affiliate KMIZ.
