Born Brent Douglas, Doug is the half-brother of Byron Carmichael and the father of Hope Williams and Douglas LeClair.
Doug is the ex-husband of Kim Douglas and Lee DuMonde and the widower of Addie Horton. He is currently married to Julie Williams.
According to Soaps In Depth, while enjoying married life with Julie, Doug saw his business, Doug’s Place, nearly going out of business due to competition from a casino run by Larry Atwood.
When Julie became distant, Doug accused her of having an affair with Larry, but she confessed he’d actually raped her.
Following Larry’s death, Julie was accused of his murder. Thankfully, during the trial, it was revealed that one of Larry’s disgruntled employees had killed him and Julie was freed.

In the early 2000s, Doug was murdered by the Salem Stalker – luckily, nothing is forever in Salem and Doug soon resumed his life alongside Julie.

On the other end, Julie seems to be in denial about Doug’s “problem”.
Most recently, Doug has been getting visits from the devil himself, who is determined to send him to his grave.

Even though there haven’t been any confirmed reports on the actor’s health, the last time we saw the 96-year-old on screen he exhibited slower speech and limited physical movement.
