Is Abigail Deveraux leaving Days Of Our Lives?

No, Abigail Deveraux is not leaving Days Of Our Lives. Neither the production nor the actor playing Abby, Marci Miller, have confirmed an exit. Many fans think that, due to Abby’s eventful storyline, producers could be writing her out. Other fans believe Marci might want a break from the role to spend time with her baby.

In May 2021, Marci Miller briefly left Salem and fans were distraught. However, when fans learnt the actress was having her first child with husband James Matteson, all was forgiven. Her departure was written into the script as Abigail escaping to Boston after she discovers her husband has got half-sister, Gwen, pregnant. Abigail is then caught in turmoil when she’s blamed for Gwen’s miscarriage after accidentally pushing her down the stairs.

In September 2021, the actress reprised her role on the soap following maternity leave. Producers brought Abigail back to the show with intentions of relighting the fire with Chad as she demands he visits her in Boston.

With only four months back on the soap, however, fans are worried Deveraux could be leaving again. So let’s see whether her recent storyline has hinted at potential exits.

Marci Miller’s DOOL career explored

In a recent episode, Abigail tells her “cousin” Sarah she knows she isn’t who she says she is. Kristen DiMera dismisses her and attempts to leave but Abigail quickly puts it to her that Kristen has kidnapped Sarah.

Abigail won’t let Kristen go until she knows the truth but her fake cousin is denying everything. When Abby realises there’s someone on the other end of the phone to Kristen she is determined to find out what’s going down. Abigail then remembers an old conversation she had and realises who her fake cousin has been all along.

Deveraux accuses her fake cousin of being Gwen but then believes it is Kristen appearing in a Sarah mask. Abigail decides to pull the mask off and fights with Kristen. Abigail and “Sarah” are interrupted from their scrap when Gwen walks in… well that’s certainly not who we expected to see rock up.
