Meet the Impeachment cast: American Crime Story covers Monica Lewinsky scandal


The trailer for the third series of American Crime Story, which dramatises the affair of Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky, has been released. Following the trailer’s drop, some have since taken to social media to react to the show’s cast. We explore the stars who feature in the Impeachment: American Crime Story cast.

Impeachment: American Crime Story trailer is released

The trailer for season three of American Crime Story, Impeachment, was released yesterday, Thursday, 12 August.

The latest season of the show dramatises the affair of the former US president Bill Clinton and then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky as well as Clinton’s 1998 impeachment.

Lewinsky herself is said to be a producer on the series as she is listed alongside executive producers Ryan Murphy, Nina Jacobson, Alexis Martin Woodall, Brad Simpson, Larry Karaszewski, Brad Falchuk, Scott Alexander, and Sarah Paulson.

American Crime Story’s previous seasons have explored the case of OJ Simpson as well as the death of Gianni Versace.

Meet the cast of Impeachment: American Crime Story

The 42nd US president will be played by Clive Owen, while Beanie Feldstein takes on the role of Monica Lewinsky.

American Horror Story actress Sarah Paulson is seen to have transformed herself as she portrays Linda Tripp. Tripp is known for bringing the relationship of Clinton and Lewinsky to light with recordings of conversations she had with the then-White House intern.

Elsewhere Edie Falco will play the former US president’s wife, Hillary Clinton, Billy Eichner as journalist Matt Drudge and Cobie Smulder as media pundit Ann Coulter.
