American spy thriller Homeland made a splash when it arrived on our screens more than a decade ago.
The Showtime series spanned eight seasons, airing from 2011 to 2020, with 96 episodes in total. Its popularity the world over also made international stars of Claire Danes, Damian Lewis and Mandy Patinkin. While already established actors in their own right, Homeland made the cast members household names. It also featured a number of rising stars early in their career, such as Timothée Chalamet.
Let’s take a look at what the cast members of Homeland are up to since the series concluded.
Meet the cast of Homeland now
Claire Danes
Bursting on to the acting scene in the Nineties, Clarie Danes went on to bag a number of significant acting roles from an early age. That success hasn’t wavered over the years, especially after starring in Homeland.
Danes, 43, stars as Carrie Mathison in Homeland, a CIA agent who becomes embroiled in a number of scandals involving the Middle East and US.
In the wake of Homeland, Claire Danes has taken on a number of serious television roles including this year’s The Essex Serpent. She is also set to star in FX’s Fleishman Is In Trouble, a series based on Taffy Brodesser-Akner’s novel of the same name.
Danes is one of the show’s most successful actors and Celebrity Net Worth estimates she has a net worth of $35 million. Her success on the show also brought Danes two Golden Globes (2012, 2013) and two Emmys (2012, 2013). She is married to Homeland co-star Hugh Dancy, with the couple welcoming their second child in 2018.
Mandy Patinkin
A stage and screen veteran, Mandy Patinkin has many beloved roles beyond Homeland’s Saul Berenson.
Since appearing on the Showtime series, Patinkin, 69, notably joined the cast of The Good Fight. For The Good Fight’s fifth season, Patinkin stars as Hal Wackner, showing American crime dramas are his forté.
But Patinkin doesn’t just fight crime on screen but off it too, as he dedicates much of his time to protesting injustices in the US. Patinkin’s Instagram bio reads: “Welcome refugees. Black Lives Matter. Get vaccinated and boosted please.”
Patinkin’s social media feed gives fans an insight into the kind of humanitarian work the actor and his wife are involved in. From protesting the war in Ukraine to abortion rights, Patinkin speaks out on a number of issues.
