After 2021 gave us the first episode of ITV’s Grace, this year has given fans the first full series of the detective drama based on the best-selling novel series by Peter James.
Like all good detective dramas, Grace places the focus on its central detective while adding a supporting cast of new and familiar faces.

Grace season 2 episode 3 release date and plot preview
Episode 3 of Grace season 2 aired on ITV on Sunday, 8 May 2022.
Entitled Dead Man’s Footsteps and based on the book of the same name, the episode sees DSI Roy Grace and the team delve into a sinister case as skeletal remains are found in a forgotten Brighton storm drain.
The twisted case takes Grace down a labyrinthine trail through the past as he chases ghosts both on the professional and personal front.

James D’Arcy as DS Cassian Pewe
The most notable guest star in episode 3 is James D’Arcy, whose presence is felt in the form of DS Cassian Pewe.
The actor has almost 90 roles to his name with recent appearances in Homeland, Agent Carter, Broadchurch, Jupiter Ascending, Those Who Kill and Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk.
Katie Clarkson-Hill as Abby Morton
Katie Clarkson-Hill will be another familiar face to viewers as her credits include Trust Me alongside Jodie Whittaker, Guilt, Amazon Prime Video’s Hanna and a 2015 episode of Vera.
Michael Bertenshaw as Derek Balkwill
Michael Bertenshaw is an actor who has 90 credits to his name but has starred in lesser-known roles, notably appearing in the likes of The Da Vinci Code as a priest, Doctor Who, two guest roles on Silent Witness and Doctors among others.
Jake Fairbrother as Ricky / Chad Skebbs
Jake Fairbrother takes on two roles in episode 3 as he plays Ricky and Chad Skebbs.

Elizabeth Rider as Paula Morton
Elizabeth Rider has almost 80 acting roles to her name, with notable appearances coming in Doctors, Waking The Dead, EastEnders and Line of Duty, in which she played DCC Andrea Wise.
Brian Pettifer as Hector Hegarty
South African-born Brian Pettifer has more than 120 roles to his name and will be a familiar face to many for appearances in Outlander, Black Mirror, The Musketeers, Rab C Nesbitt and 1990s BBC series Hamish Macbeth, which starred Robert Carlyle.
Amy Conachan as Mo
And finally, we end on Amy Conachan who takes on the role of Mo. She may only have five acting credits to her name on IMDb but she has appeared in more than 250 episodes of Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks as Courtney Campbell.
