Lisa LoCicero has recently shared a video of her and fellow General Hospital co-star, Maurice Benard, aka Sonny. The actress looks all dolled up, jesting that she’s rocking the Snooki ‘pouf’ hair. It appears even a decade after the first season of Jersey Shore premiered on MTV, Snooki’s signature hairstyle is still a pop culture sensation.

Recently all of Port Charles gathered for the Quartermaine picnic that Ned and Olivia (Wally Kurth and Lisa LoCicero) threw together for the residents to have fun.

The General Hospital set looks like it is a lot of fun at the minute as the soap veterans share behind-the-scenes footage of what goes down off-screen.

Lisa LoCicero jokes around with Maurice Benard

In the video, Maurice is holding the camera as LoCicero stands in the background on the set of GH. The actress asks him, “what do you wanna say?” Before Benard states, “We have a child together.” Lisa replies, “one child, an adult man child” of course, they are talking about Dante Falconeri.

As a teenager, Olivia dated Sonny Corinthos, and after the relationship ended, Sonny began dating her cousin. However, Olivia later learned that she was pregnant and gave birth to their son in 1985, when she was just 15 years old.

Dante is a Detective at the Port Charles Police Department and he and his ex-wife Lulu Spencer share a son, Rocco Falconeri, meaning Olivia and Sonny are grandparents.

Lisa says she’s rocking the Snooki ‘pouf’ hair

In the next part of the video, Maurice compliments his co-star’s appearance as he says “Look at her, her hair looks great.” To which Lisa replies, “I got it poofy, like the Jersey Shore, a little Snooki pouf.”

The actress is referencing the iconic hairstyle worn by MTV Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. The reality TV star reflected on the signature hairstyle in a 2019 interview with Glamour: “It was definitely a Jersey thing. If you came to Jersey Shore — or really, Jersey at all — in 2007 through 2009, that was the hairstyle all the girls were wearing,” adding. “It was like a big thing. And if you didn’t wear a pouf, then you weren’t Jersey enough.”

Maurice concludes the clip, “Lisa Locicero, the one and the only” before signing off the video, “bye!”

Who is Lisa LoCicero?

Lisa LoCicero has wanted to be an actress since the age of 13 so after graduating from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, she pursued her dream. Her first role was in the soap opera, Loving, before it changed into The City, which she remained on until it was canceled in 1997.

LoCicero then moved to Los Angeles, where she met director and producer Michael Patrick Jann in 1999 and the pair hit it off. By 2001, their son Lukas was born and three years later the family relocated to New York when LoCicero accepted the role of Sonia Toledo Santi on One Life To Live.

They then moved back to L.A. and in 2007 the couple finally tied the knot before Lisa joined the cast of GH in 2008. LoCicero originally auditioned for the role of Kate Howard, but instead, the character of Olivia Falconeri was created for her. The actress has remained on the soap ever since, and as they say – the rest is history!
