General Hospital alum, Sydney Mikayla (ex-Trina Robinson) has joined the cast of Cartoon Network’s Craig Of The Creek and fans are ‘so excited’ to watch her in the show.

GH fans ‘so excited’ to see Sydney Mikayla Disney+ series
When Mikayla played the role of Wolf in Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts it was the start of her love for voice acting as it was her first series regular role in an animation series. However, she has now moved on to another series.
Mikayla revealed to her Instagram story recently that she is playing the role of Maya on Cartoon Network’s Craig Of The Creek. She wrote in the caption “I love this show, I’m in the cast and I’m even suprised by what the next week will bring.”
Whe Mikayla was asked about the Cartoon Network show in a recent interview she revealed her thoughts on the show: “First, I have to say that I think Craig of the Creek is just a really smart show.” The actress revealed that she loves “the diversity and inclusiveness in the show and how they allow the characters, including Maya, to evolve.”
Mikayla is playing a character completely different to that of Trina on General Hospital: “I guess you could say Maya started out as the antagonist, maybe even a bit villainous.” However, she revealed that Mikayla has good intentions, “ultimately, I think she just wants to be a good friend and have good friends.”
Mikayla looks back on GH days
In the Autumn of 2021, Mikayla started her college education at the University of California, Los Angeles. As a full-time student, the workload was a lot to juggle alongside a role in General Hospital. Therefore, Sydney decided to leave General Hospital to focus on her academic studies. Executive producer Frank Valentini explained in early March 2021.
Reminiscing on her time at Mikayla shared her favourite memories in General Hospital in a recent interview: “My favorite episode was probably the voting episode because I thought it was just so timely and well done. One of my favorite scenes was with Cameron (William Lipton). Trina was explaining microaggressions to him and their impact on her as an African American. I thought it was an important conversation and I also just love working with William.”
Sydney Mikayla takes on Nickelodeon’s new series
Sydney Mikayla has also joined the cast of Nickelodeon’s new series, Transformers. Mikayla shared on Instagram, “@Nickelodeon’s new series, Transformers #EarthSpark, is here to rock your nostalgic socks off! Streaming this fall on @ParamountPlus So grateful to play “Robby” in this incredible series, coming soon!”
