General Hospital's Nancy Lee Grahn hints she's penning memoir so she can 'speak her truth'

After 37 years in daytime television, Nancy Lee Grahn is sure to have some serious tea to spill. And fans of the General Hospital star might not have long to wait before they can drink it all up as she’s hinted she’s busy writing her memoir.

Nancy, who has played Alexis Davis on the soap since 1996, took to her official Facebook page to let her fans know what she’s been up to.

She’s starred in more than 1,000 episodes of the hospital-based show and is sure to have a lot of interesting stories to tell.

Time to reflect

Nancy, 66, heavily hinted to her fans that she’s busy writing her autobiography.

After taking some time out to reflect on her life and career, the star said she’s already found herself 120 pages into telling her story.

Addressing her fans, she wrote: “Hi friends, It’s been awhile. I spent the month of July on a lake in WI. It rebooted and recalibrated me. I’m different now in ways that I can’t quite explain. Prior to that, in the last few months, I was hit with some life altering realizations that truly forced me to re-evaluate my future, my career, my purpose, my value, what I will accept and what I won’t in regards to that and why.

“I have paid very close attention to the trajectory of my life, the wins and losses, and my lessons that were many. I am ready to tell the whole truth about my 37 years on Daytime television with gratitude, but with honesty. Im 120 pages in so far. Stay tuned.”

Fans can’t wait

Nancy’s fans are pretty much already lining up for a copy of the book.

Her devoted followers commented on her post to let her know that they can’t wait to read it.

One told her: “I wasn’t there for all 37 but I remember your beginnings on GH. All the best wishes with your book. Keep on being fabulous”.

“This is the book we’ve been waiting for,” another penned.

And a third told her: “I can’t wait to read your book, I know it will be written with truth and thoughtfulness. I still wish you had a talk show or podcast!”

Nancy’s career

Nancy has been in the spotlight since 1978.

She made her debut in soap opera One Life to Live and starred as Beverly Wilkes in 200 episodes up until 1982.

She’s also been in episodes of The Incredible Hulk, Magnum PI, Knight Rider, Murder, She Wrote, Melrose Place and Castle.

The TV legend has also appeared in a string of movies, including Obsessed with a Married Woman, Kids Don’t Tell and Perry Mason: The Case of the Glass Coffin.

She’s been nominated for numerous awards over the years and has picked up a few too.

She won a Daytime Emmy for Santa Barbara in 1989 and another for General Hospital in 2012.

Her work on GH has also seen here win three Soap Opera Digest Awards.
