General Hospital viewers were left on the edge of their seats after Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) was attacked by the “hooking” serial killer who’s been terrorizing Port Charles. Now some viewers are wondering whether, if dead, Brando is leaving General Hospital.

WARNING: Details from the latest General Hospital episodes (Tuesday, September 13 and Wednesday, September 14) and episodes to come will be discussed throughout this piece

Things have turned bloody in Port Charles as a hook-handed serial killer runs wild. Already, the killer has claimed one victim and almost took the life of Ava Cassadine (Maura West).

But things look like they’ve taken a deadly turn for Brando as he is rushed to the hospital following a hook attack.

Brando becomes victim of the hook serial killer

On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, Brando was hooked twice by the serial killer while trying to protect Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) appears after the attack and starts screaming, alerting everyone else to the attack. She is comforted by Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) as they rush to the hospital.

With the paramedics attending Brando, and Sasha in floods of tears, it didn’t look good for one of our GH faves.

During the episode on Wednesday, September 14, Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) are called to a crime scene, suggesting that things have taken a turn for the worse with Brando. According to Soaps spoilers, next week will see Port Charles come together to mourn the loss of one of their own in Tuesday’s (September 20) episode. Does this mean that Brando succumbed to his injuries?

GH viewers react to the attack

General Hospital viewers are used to their fair share of theatrics from Port Charles, but the hook killer story line is definitely the most violent we’ve seen over the past few years.

One viewer tweeted: “That hook scene was kind of gory. A little too much for daytime tv. Please General Hospital try not to scare us to bad (sic).”

Other fans are concerned the attack on Brando means Johnny Wactor is leaving General Hospital. “It would be a huge mistake to let someone with his talent go! So I’m hoping he pulls through. He’s a fan favorite with a decent following of fans who would hate to see him leave the show! Myself included,” one fan tweeted.

Is Brando leaving General Hospital?

As of yet, it is unconfirmed whether Brando will be killed off General Hospital, although from what the upcoming spoilers have in store, it looks as if it is heading in this direction.

However, Johnny Wactor has not indicated he’s giving up the role of Brando without a fight. In response to a fan requesting he not leave the show, Wactor tweeted: “They’ll have to drag me off GH!” While this has reassured some fans that Brando is not going anywhere, the actors aren’t allowed to reveal their story arcs in advance of the show airing.

When another fan point out that Brando, ex-military, did not fight back during the hook attack, Johnny Wactor seemed to agree that it was a strange move from his character.

General Hospital fans speculate on who the Hook Killer is

Since the Hook Killer story arc debuted, fans have been speculating over who is behind the brutal attacks. The general consensus among fans is that it could be either Esme, Ryan, or Dex.

With Jordan and Dante on the case, which will continue to develop over the coming episodes as the Hook Killer strikes again, hopefully the mystery will be resolved in the coming weeks.

If the Hook Killer kills fan-favorite Brando, then fans of the soap will be desperate to have them locked away for good and justice to be served.
