Fans spotted Eugene Cordero among the cast of Loki. Who does Eugene Cordero play in Loki, and who else has the Pillboi actor (The Good Place) portrayed?

Who is Eugene Cordero?

Eugene Cordero is primarily a television actor, although he has made some notable film appearances.

In Loki, Cordero plays Casey, who works for the Time Variance Authority (TVA).

Casey is a clerk at the organisation, whose chief agent is Mobius M Mobius (Owen Wilson).

The bureaucratic organisation protects the flow of time, and oversees the timelines within the Multiverse.

As such, it is in some ways comparable to Philip K Dick’s “Adjustment Team” (which was later made into The Adjustment Bureau) or the Tenet organisation of Christopher Nolan’s eponymous movie.

Its motto is, “For all time, always”.

 

Cordero played Pillboi in The Good Place

Notably, Cordero played Pillboi in six episodes of The Good Place (2016-2020).

But that’s not all. Over the years, he has been in The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Good Place and Parks & Recreation.

The Pillboi actor has also written episodes for UCB Comedy Originals, The UCB Show and Mystery Science Theatre 3000: The Return

What else has he been in?

Fans remember Eugene Cordero’s role in The Good Place fondly, but he has 114 acting credits to his name, according to IMDB, many of them TV series.

Those familiar with Star Trek: Lower Decks will know him (by voice) as Sam Rutherford; he also appeared recently in Close Enough (Dante), Loafy (Scrooge), Tacoma FD (Andy Myawani), Central Park (Brendan) and Bob’s Burgers (Sawyer D).

Fans react to Eugene Cordero in Loki

Straight off the bat, fans have taken to Twitter to express their support for Cordero’s presence in the series. 

One user said he “breathes life into the TVA”. Meanwhile, others have celebrated the Filipino representation in the MCU.
