Denise Richards pays heartbreaking tribute to Scout Masterson

“This has been extremely hard to post,” B&B’s Denise Richards began as she paid tribute to Scout Masterson. “I will never forget you and the beautiful memories over so many years. All the pool days we had, kids stuff together, you and Billy helping me through the adoption process with Eloise, being my confidant through it all, and many other memories.”

Her tribute was particularly moving as Richards recalled discussing her mother’s death with Masterson: “I remember us talking about my mom and saying where do they go? Perhaps you can give us all some signs.”

Richards also gave reassurance there would be a support system in place for the two children Masterson leaves behind: “My heart is broken. I will miss you dearly. I love you so much and we will all be here for your family.”

B&B star Ashley Jones (Bridget) commented on Richards’ tribute as she empathized with her co-star: “So beautifully said, Denise. Just gutted. 💔 I adored him. I always will.”

Scout Masterson’s husband pays heartfelt tribute

The death of the 48-year-old Emmy Award-nominated casting director was announced by his husband Bill Horn on Monday, September 12, in an Instagram post: “Yesterday we lost a loving husband, kind friend, a good son, and an amazing parent. Scouty, we miss you so much. Scout Michael Masterson 1974-2022.”

Horn also shared some throwback photos of the family together. Horn and Masterson married in 2013 and became parents to daughter Simone Lynn, 12, and son Bosley Jo, eight, after embarking on the journey of adoption.

Richards wrote in the comments: “We love you guys so much. I’m still in shock and will be for a long time. We love you. I’ll tell you the rest privately.”

90210’s Tori Spelling, who was also friends with the couple, commented: “We love you all so much. A one of a kind who always [put] everyone before himself. Selfless human. Amazing dad, husband, son, friend, and fur dad. We will all forever miss you.”

Her brother, Randy Spelling, wrote: “Bill, heartbroken. So many words. Sending you and [your] family so much love.”

Real Housewives star Lisa Rinna, 59, also penned a loving tribute as she took to her Instagram Story to ask for her late mum who died in November 2021 at age 93 to look after him: “Heaven just got another angel. Lois take good care of Scout for us. Our hearts go out to Bill, Simone and Boz.

“Today is a devastatingly sad day. We lost a very bright light in this world, someone we loved so dearly. He was filled with so much joy and made us laugh so much. He was the best dad. We love you Scout.”

GoFund me page set up in honor of Masterson

On September 13, Horn posted a thank you message on his Instagram: “The outpouring of love these past few days has been overwhelming and amazing. Thank you! So many calls, texts, DMs, flowers and so much food. We will survive this thanks in large part to so much.”

His cause of death has not been shared but Saved By The Bell alum Tiffani Thiessen has offered her support along with her husband Brady Smith as they launched a GoFundMe page with a goal of $50,000.

Thiessen explained on the page that donations would be used toward Masterson’s memorial service and fund grief counseling for his family.

Denise Richards returns to B&B

Denise Richards plays single mom Shauna Fulton on B&B. Others know Richards from The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills or New York Times bestselling author of her own memoir, The Real Girl Next Door.

Although the actress hasn’t appeared on B&B since November 2021, to fans’ delight she will soon reprise her role. The actress recently posted an image of herself on her Instagram story holding a script with the caption: “Guess who is back.”
