Dan Benson's Rick And Morty role explored as Waverly Place actor all glowed up

Voice actor and Disney Channel star Dan Benson has come a long way since he first appeared on Wizards Of Waverly Place. Now, the actor guest appears in episodes of Rick And Morty and is a social rights advocate on the internet.

At the young age of 15, Benson began acting. Fans of the hilarious animated series Rick And Morty may be surprised to learn who he voices, now that he’s all grown up.

Dan Benson in Wizards Of Waverly Place

Way before he lent his voice to the animated series Rick And Morty, Dan Benson appeared in the beloved Disney Channel classic series Wizards Of Waverly Place. This is considered the actor’s first major role.

Fans may recognize the actor from his performance as Zeke in the show, as he appeared in 32 episodes. He starred alongside big names like Selena Gomez and David Henrie. He also appeared in an episode of a different Disney series, Phil Of The Future.

Since his role in Wizards Of Waverly Place, Dan Benson has not worked much. He has since appeared in the TV series Nuclear Family and Smoky Knights.

Who is Dan Benson in Rick And Morty?

Dan Benson voices the character Ethan B in the smash-hit animated series Rick And Morty. Ethan is Summer’s ex-boyfriend and features in multiple episodes throughout the different seasons.

The character makes his first appearance in the third episode of season one. In ‘Anatomy Park’ Summer and Ethan’s secret relationship is revealed to the family during an intense Christmas dinner.

Dan Benson’s character pops up twice more (so far) in the AdultSwim series, appearing again in season two, in the episode ‘Get Schwifty’ and once more in season three, in the episode ‘The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy’.

Ethan’s fate in Rick And Morty

Although Ethan is a minor character, the times he has appeared he is presented as a not-so-great love interest for Summer, Morty’s older sister.

In ‘The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy’, Ethan ignores Summer, seeking the attention of a different girl. Add to the mix some teenage insecurity and one of Grampa Rick’s crazy inventions and Ethan’s fate is sealed. At the end of the episode, he can be seen, physically deformed, walking away from the woods, where it is presumed Summer (or Morty) used the machine on him to get revenge.

Since this episode, poor Ethan’s fate is unknown in Rick And Morty, as he is yet to reappear in any further episodes.

Benson’s social media presence

Outside of his recent voice acting work, Benson also runs and maintains an OnlyFans account. He uses his popularity to support the LGBTQ community and regularly updates Instagram and Twitter with content for his subscribers.

In his Twitter bio, the star warns that the content posted is strictly for those over 18 years old. He also states he is now “all grown up” since his early acting days on the Disney Channel.
